About Jay Rubin
Jay Rubin, an American scholar and academic, is one of the foremost translators of Japanese literature. He has translated several works of fiction by popular novelist Haruki Murakami and is compiling an anthology of contemporary Japanese literature for Penguin. Rubin received his Ph.D. in Japanese literature from the University of Chicago and taught at Harvard University and the University of Washington. This is his first novel.
