“ugh. i wanted to like this, especially because of all the good reviews. but the whole time i felt like i was in the minority of readers because i was just so freaking BORED. idk if i’ve just read too many ghost stories at this point but holy smokes i was really hoping somehow there weren’t actually any ghosts and it was like a sci-fi twist where the two timelines met at the sundown or something. but nooo it was just ghosts and girls getting murdered.
don’t get me wrong, the writing was nice and i liked the characters. but i was just so frustratingly bored. :/ i found myself procrastinating when i had time to pick this up. and when i have regularly finished books this length in two days, i didn’t actually finish this for five.
i think this is just a me problem. if ghosts spook you, you’ll love this.”
