“This final series is riding on nostalgia only. If I hadn't spent the last 20 years reading this series I would be done. Between unbelievable and unenjoyable characters, to a plot that is formulaic as possible, at this point outside of finishing this to finish 20 years of history, I'm going to finish it to see how close my guess on how it ends really is.
Romance that starts at first sight even between mortal enemies. The villain is unstoppable with a magic ability that has no consequence on the user so they can use it constant and it's extremely deadly to those they fight. They know EVERYTHING their enemies are going to do even before they do so they are ALWAYS three steps ahead.
A main character that learns everything she needs to know in a week when up until now you needed years/decades of study.
Add the telegraphing of how it's going to be finished and it's just not very enjoyable. Very disappointed in seeing it end this way. Hope the last two books finish stronger.”
