“Oh how I love visiting Nalani Hawaii. I always look forward to a new book from Anna J. Stewart, and this one did NOT disappoint. This book was very emotional to me, as I have a relative who JUST finished radiation and chemo. Since book one I've been curious about Silas Garwood, he's only ever mentioned but hadn't actually appeared in the books. Oh boy did I fall in love with Silas and his love of his adorable little girl Freya.
Jana Powell is in Nalani to heal emotionally after surviving cancer. Silas is the last of Remmy's friends to come back to Hawaii after his death, and he comes back only to help Mano and Sidney with GVI, but being a single father he has to bring Freya with him. Freya is different from most kids, and doesn't adapt well to change, she's afraid of EVERYTHING. While swimming the first evening they're in Hawaii Freya thinks she's seen a mermaid and instantly gets attached to Jana when they're introduced to each other. Jana decides to help Silas with his "investigation" into GVI and they fall themselves falling...”
