This is a steamy, edgy box set of modern fairy tale retellings. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/54031050.Sinful_Surrender__The_Sinful_Series__1_ : 5 stars When Arabella offers herself up to Maddux in exchange for paying off her father's debt, it's intended only to be a transaction, not for either of them to catch feelings. So what will the "beast" of a man do when his quest for revenge is put on the backburner because he develops feelings for the instrument of his vengeance? Whew, this one is HOT! I loved the contrast between the sweet, compassionate Arabella (Bella) and cold, controlling Maddux, who loses that coldness around Bella. It's definitely a modern day fairy tale with a naughty twist, and I cannot wait for more of this series! I loved this modern retelling of the classic Cinderella tale. This time around, it's much sexier, much more modern, and Elle is no simpering wallflower. She's a strong woman trying to do right by her family business. And Hunter is no straight-laced Prince, nope, he's a very much possessive alpha male who wants to claim Elle as soon he meets her. If only she'd let him in. I've been loving the modern day fairy tale series and this one is no exception. It's sexy, it's edgy and suspenseful, and the chemistry between Hunter and Elle is HOT! She's been flirting with him for years now and he barely acknowledges her. Will this lady ever get her tramp? Remy has had so much rejection in his life that it's mired him in pain and insecurities. He knows he's not good enough for the elegant, successful woman that is his friend Maddux's baby sister. Nothing good could ever come from him giving in to the insane desire he feels for her. But somehow she's worn him down and he's succumbing to the intense feelings she makes him feel. Can these two really have that fairy tale? Can this tramp make his lady happy and give her the life she deserves? "She was like a ray of lighthearted warmth finding its way into places that had felt stone cold for so long." Remy and Tempest are fire! Their chemistry is smokin' hot and burns deep. Remy is such a tormented but really likable character and Tempest is the right foil for him, the light for the darkness he had lived with for so long.
