“Oh I loved this, and I'm so glad I read it before I watched the movie. Of course there were parts left out, but some things were also glossed over. The book helped fill in those gaps.
I finished listening to it and then moved on to watching the movie. Loved them both but I did kind of wish the movie tackled the multiple perspectives, but they kept it mostly straightforward. It worked, but there were moments lost.
As I posted about earlier, my favorite moment was with Giles in the bathroom with the creature, realizing he's also beautiful. The ending had a lot going on but it tied up loose ends rather well.
Zelda and Giles seeing them off, Strickland struck down, and unfortunately, Dr. Hoffstatler doesn't get to go home to Russia to see his family.
Overall, I really enjoyed this. Guillermo and Daniel did an excellent job.”
