“3.5🌟 was definitely intrigued by all of the scientific research displaying how our brains have been affected by the rise in internet usage, but as this book is 14 years old, there was a good chunk of information that was a bit outdated (duh). despite that, most of the heavy themes are still prevalent in society today and can be applied. i enjoyed the way carr opened with the very beginnings of human communication and worked through time to the current era of social media. i was a big fan of his writing style and am interested in reading more of his work”

“Such an interesting and useful book! I think everyone should read it.
To be honest, I thought we’d dive straight into the world of technology and its influence on our brains. However, the author also highlighted other key moments in human history that shaped our world—like the invention of the clock, maps, and books.
It’s incredibly fascinating! What’s truly scary is realizing when this book was written—over 15 years ago. It makes me wonder about the ongoing, possibly catastrophic, impact the Net continues to have on us.”
