“I will come back and update once I finish this book but for now I just want to say this is the best book i have read in a long time. i have been reading it slowly because i dont want it to end, im very attached to it because i love the concept and the nadia afifi is so talented in unraveling it. normally when i read, i speed through, it takes something really good for me to slow down and savor, which is what im doing right now. i am intrigued by the science fiction genre but i rarely get into it because i find extensive worldbuilding overwhelming, this one isnt like that. the world is very believable and down to earth. this is a wonderful use of science fiction and psychology fiction and deep psychological concepts put into story, with a focus on deconstructing the trauma of a past rooted in an evil religious trauma based cult. so far it’s just excellently done. thank you for a book that keeps me so invested and engaged, its rare.”
