“I was really trying to stick it out because I really wanted to like this book. As a Marvel girlie I really wanted to read a book about the private life of a superhero and their wife. But none of these stories captivated me. What’s fun about Spiderman? Trying to balance his personal life and his superhero life. I feel like this could’ve been way better done if the wives had actual personalities outside of their marriages. One of the three stories I just started not caring about because all the chapters started reading the same way. Her husband would come home, they talked, and they had sex. FIVE CHAPTERS IN A ROW WITH THAT POV. It was really un engaging which when done with superheroes is really hard to mess up. I really wanted to like this but I really don’t.”Start a Book Club
