Slightly Smiling Face“This book was long. Probably twice as long as it needed to be. I have a love-hate relationship with it too. Sometimes the characters were incredibly infuriating and other times I found myself invested and wishing for their wellbeing. Characters changed sides so often that it difficult to know who to root for (save Agatha of course). I did not like Cinderella. Didn’t like how she was portrayed. Did not like having to feel sympathy for her after she had been horrid for so long. And she was often depicted as rather grotesque fat woman. Like totally okay with her being overweight in her old age but did we need to turn her into a glutton? Could it just be that it’s hard to lose weight when you are older? Sophie was… a challenge to care about. She made a ton of dumb choices. And it was really annoying that after three books we are back in that Agatha vs Sophie mindset again. I’m hoping this means that’s over now cause I don’t think I could take anymore of it. Tedros and Agatha are still problematic. And I’m not convinced they should be together. At least Merlin was fun. And the witch coven. I liked them. Reaper too. I don’t know if I’ll read the next book. I might be burn out on these for awhile.”
Slightly Smiling Face“Definitely a slow start, but very strong ending! Excited to see what adventures Sophie and Agatha go on during the next trilogy”
