“Wow. This was slow to start, seeing that it’s the first book of the series, so it was kinda understandable that the author had to lay out the background of the main characters. But once the suspense picked up and the murders kept happening, it was basically a crazy page-turner, and I just had to keep reading to find out what happened next. The murders are grisly, and I feel that the premise was really interesting (and of course psychotic of the killer). The story wrapped up pretty well, imo, and perhaps I should start looking for the other books by this author.
(TBH I bought this book more than a decade ago on a whim and proceeded to promptly forget that it existed on my shelf lol. Keep getting surprises from my past self’s taste in books.)”
