“I wanted to like this book so much more. I wanted to LOVE this book. But I could not get past how annoying I found Beatrix. She was the most unpleasant person. Also, it was a little unbelievable that Rocco had no memory of a person he had a sizable relationship with less than 20 years ago simply because she was using a different version of her first name?
The 90s nostalgia was spot on and I really enjoyed the descriptions of their time in the past. That was super fun. But Beatrix’s relentlessly sarcastic, nasty attitude put a damper on what could have been a much more fun experience.”
