“<strong>Finding Manhood</strong>
Interesting story of a youth going to war and becoming a man. It wasn't easy but he found the strength.”

“I had to read this for school and to be honest it is terrible. If you have to read this look up a fake summary on the Internet. A baby has better grammar than this book I promise. Nothing against the history of the civil war but this is dull and boring to be a classic.”

“This is another of those classics that I felt obligated to work my way through in my lifetime. I have to say that I wasn't that impressed though. I think it might have been valuable to read in high school if there was a teacher there who was able to really drive the points home. I can't say that I learned anything from it though at 32 years old. Crane's referencing of the main character as "the youth" was more than a little tedious and annoying by the end of the book. I know what he was trying to achieve by that but it might have been overdone. Worth reading once in your life perhaps, but it does not go on my list of personal favorites.”
