William Crimsworth, the story's narrator, shares an inspiring narrative of bravery and drive in the face of jealously and jealousy: To the dismay of his harsh uncles and older brother, William, who was orphaned at an early age, rejects a career in the church and later as a businessman. Rather, he decides to become a teacher and makes his way to Brussels, where he meets Francis Evans Henri, a half-English, half-Swiss orphan, and falls in love. However, headmistress Mademoiselle Reuter's jealousy—she unintentionally fell in love with William herself—prevents their union.
After her mother and two older siblings passed away, Charlotte Brontë was raised in a strict Anglican household by her preacher father. She wrote all of her poetry and novels under the pen name Currer Bell. Her most well-known novel, Jane Eyre, is regarded by many as one of the best and most important of the nineteenth century.
