“The perfect blend of book 1 with a lot of the action, and book 2 with all the behind the scenes political intigue. This book is very plot driven but the characters carry it along so well. Marcus and Raesinia being so different but working well together was a fun perspective, considering the more dramatic tones revolved around Winter and Jane and their relationship but was also well written. The ending was an unexpected jaw dropper, can't wait to read the next book!”About Django Wexler

His forthcoming novel, Dungeons & Dragons: Spelljammer: Memory's Wake, will release in June 2024. He graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh with degrees in creative writing and computer science, and worked for the university in artificial intelligence research. When not planning Shadow Campaigns, he wrangles computers, paints tiny soldiers, and plays games of all sorts. He is also the author of the middle-grade and YA fantasy novels.
