“This is a really dark, twisted horror esque story that delves into issues of possessive parenting and the negative effects grief can have on a person. Mr Cave is an odd character but wrote really well to make the audience dislike him. A darker psychological side to Matt Haig that might I dare say… I prefer..to the lighter notes of his other books”Hannah

“a disturbing read where the reader is put into the mind of a grieving father, but a great read nonetheless. we follow mr cave as he slowly descends into a maddening state in which his love for his daughter turns into a possesiviness. i was captivated from the first page and the message is extremely important.”g★mar
