“I would say this book was a cross between The Famous Five, and Sherlock Holmes with the plot. But I will say, I did not see that antagonist emerging in that person, just thought they were sleazy. And the FMC was infuriating, what did she expect, flirting and kissing a grown man? I'm not validating what happened at the end, but of course he got mixed signals. The real romancing was very minimal, and added to the whole whimsical, old school style. The old language dulled the story down a bit, but overall, it was a good book.”
