“A ‘Too Easy’ read.
My first issue the format of the story. I wish it was Emily - Month 1, Betsy - Month 1, so on and so forth. It was just a little confusing; at least from an audio standpoint given there was only one narrator. I also hated the ending. It was way too predictable - I knew it was Ted before we even made it through the first trimester. “I feel drunk. No, this is different.” And missing whole chunks of time? Of course that SOB was drugging her. AND WHY WAS HER OB NOT CATCHING THAT?! And the detective was suspicious from the get go. It would have been much more interesting had he also been involved in the abductions/murders and coverups of the other women. There was just no complexity to the book or the characters, beyond one note. Also, what happens with the crazy lady neighbor? Like she just disappears from the book.”

“Emily pissed me off. Like wtf. Why was she drinking so much while pregnant. She didn’t deserve friends like Betsy. Ughhh”
