The Nameless Ones
By John ConnollyPublisher Description
“One of the best thriller writers we have.” —Harlan Coben, #1 New York Times bestselling author
From the international and instant New York Times bestselling author of The Dirty South, the white-knuckled Charlie Parker series returns with this heart-pounding race to hunt down the deadliest of war criminals.
In Amsterdam, four bodies, violently butchered, are discovered in a canal house, the remains of friends and confidantes of the assassin known only as Louis.
The men responsible for the murders are Serbian war criminals. They believe they can escape retribution by retreating to their homeland.
They are wrong.
For Louis has come to Europe to hunt them down: five killers to be found and punished before they can vanish into thin air.
There is just one problem.
The sixth.
With John Connolly’s trademark “dark, haunting, and beautifully told” (Booklist) prose and breathless twists and turns, The Nameless Ones is an unputdownable thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

“This novel is Angel and Louis-centric and largely takes place outside America. In revenge for De Jaager’s hiring Louis to assassinate Timmerman (Andrej Buha) Serbian war criminals, Zivco Ilic, Radovan and Spiridon Vuksan, Aleksej Markovic, and Luca Bilbija torture and murder De Jaager, Anouk, Paulus, and Liesl. Louis decides to eliminate the Serbian war criminals and the “witch” who accompanies them, Zorya. Ilic and Zorya murder Hendricksen because he is helping Louis and Angel. Spiridon decides to attempt to distract Louis and Angel by taking out Charlie. Fortunately, Charlie is saved by luck and the Fulci brothers. Louis and Angel kill the five Serbians and their allies, and they hunt down Zorya in her resting place. She is a desiccated corpse when they find her, and they grind her bones to dust and disperse them into a running stream. Jennifer invites Zorya to wait with her between the worlds. This novel is a solid entry in the Parker series but is less emotionally taxing than some of the others.”
