The Mysterious Mr. Quin (1930) is a collection short stories by legendary British writer Agatha Christie. In this strange series of mysteries, the elderly socialite Mr. Satterthwaite finds himself in the midst of disappearances, deceit, and even murder.

Just as every mystery presented reaches a point of inscrutability, the enigmatic Mr. Quin appears seemingly out of nowhere to offer crucial advice that always breaks the case. When the dust settles, Mr. Quin disappears as mysteriously as he came, not to appear again until Mr. Satterthwaite stumbles predictably into another enigma. In the 12 stories included, Christie finds an outlet for her more imaginative and fanciful side, escaping briefly from the cold logic of Detective Poirot and the civil drama of Miss Marple to dabble in the absurd and often magical genius of Mr. Quin.
