“Let's talk about "The Mist Thief" by LJ Andrews.

The third installment of the Ever Seas Series and LJ did not disappoint. This story follows Jonas and Skadi as they venture into an arranged marriage to keep the peace between the realms of fae and elven kind. As reluctant to move forward, they both know that this is the only way to ensure that bloodshed would not follow, even if it means they are to be at one another's throats.
Our Nightmare Prince has met his match though in Skadi, the Mist Thief of the Shadow realms. Her magic pulsing beneath her fingers, and even though she thinks that no one would care for her - Jonas endures to make her seen. I loved how much of a cinnamon roll our Jonas is, and how he would do anything to ensure that Skadi saw her true potential. That she was not a weapon to be used but a woman to be desired, loved, and cherished.
“I am your husband. It will always be an honor to carry you should you stumble.”
I adored the banter between the two, the cast of characters that I've grown to love weaving their way through the story. To me, even though this was a standalone, I do feel one should read the first two books of the Ever Seas just to ensure the backstory makes sense.
“I do not hold you on the surface of my heart, you are in the deepest pieces where I keep my worst fears. To lose you would mean facing pain so wretched it would destroy me. I would not survive it. Even if I was still breathing, I would no longer be me, and instead would become a cruel, violent, hopeless shell of the man I was.”

“Third book in the Ever King series focuses on one of my favorite characters from the first two books! This book was very enjoyable- lots of spicy scenes almost excessively so but I enjoyed them all! The world the author has created is so beautiful and detailed and fun to explore as a reader. I will continue read this series. That being said I liked the Ever King and Ever Queen more as their love story had more adventure for me. I recommend reading this if you enjoy a spicy romance with magic and enjoy this world”
