“Loved book 1 and so excited to dive into this one. I was so worried when I started this book because I was not a fan! I was so hoping it would get better. Luckily it did!! By the middle half, there was so much going on, plot points, and absolute insanity that I needed to keep reading. I felt so bad for Jahan and Elanna. They had a lot to battle together with the emperor and those that opposed magic and sorcery. I was kinda surprised what ended up happening with Madiya and the Empress. The 3rd book is going to be a disaster! There is so much Jahan, Elanna, and now Sophy is going to have to battle.”
