“This has to be the worst book I’ve ever read. Cliché city. To me the descriptions of both life in California and a southern state like Georgia seem like they were written by someone who has never visited either. This is all really disappointing because the premise sounds great in theory, and the execution leaves you severely disappointed. Alex is insufferable.”

Katie Crouch was raised in Charleston, South Carolina. Though she trained with friends as a debutante, she never made it to the ball. She is the author of the bestselling adult novels Girls in Trucks and Men and Dogs and has written for the San Francisco Chronicle, Glamour, the Guardian (London) and McSweeney's.
