“Favorite quote: “For a bright man, professor, you’ve made some dumb choices tonight.” (Said by a woman, of course)
At least this one passes the Bechdel test. Barely.
I wasn’t as into it as I was the previous Langdon books.”
“Even after having read the blurb I still didn’t see first twist coming. But after that the other plot twists were quite easy for me to come up with. I said that Mal’akh was Peter son very early on. Because the amount of breadcrumbs was too much to ignore. And the fact that the secret was hidden where we first started was also quite obvious.
The reason why this book is getting a 4⭐️ and not more is because all through I was annoyed at many of the characters. They kept trying to change Langdon’s opinion and his belief throughout. It was getting on my nerves. Why won’t they just accept him as a sceptic that needs definitive proof.
But the writing was good, plot good and characters good. In the end it was a great book.”
