“Such an addictive, suspenseful, dark, and thrilling series! This books picks up right where book one left off, and while it is a slower start, the story is far more expansive and complex. There was so much tension and anxiety building, I was constantly wanting to know what would happen next and see how the story would play out. I loved the way everything came full circle with the connections of everyone involved over generations and centuries of time. The last 20% of the novel is so stress inducing! Due’s writing is extremely vivid and captivating.
My only qualms with the book are that the toddler is so self aware, powerful and mature, I know there were more benevolent forces but, 3-4 years old?! Come on! And, the fmc is very religious, and there is a lot of Christianity and Jesus.”
