Originally published in 2010 under the title 'La Cote 400' this version was published under the title, 'The Library of Unrequited Love' and was translated by Sian Reynolds.
This is a very short story which I picked up as part of my honoring of National Library Month due to its bookish title and summary. The novel had an extremely different format which was very entertaining and funny for the reader.
There were no chapters, just one continuous flow of the narrator's stream of consciousness.
The emotions it provoked within me were those of passion, love and loneliness. As I finished the last word in the story I was left wondering...how many opportunities have I missed within my own life because I was the passenger and not the driver of my life?
Not the read I was expecting but interesting all the same.”
