Publisher Description

The Last Letter is a haunting, heartbreaking and ultimately inspirational love story.“—InTouch Weekly

If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have.

I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride.

My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. It’s not fair.

And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart. She’s going to need help.

So if I’m gone, that means I can’t be there for Ella. I can’t help them through this. But you can. So I’m begging you, as my best friend, go take care of my sister, my family.

Please don’t make her go through it alone.

Loudly Crying Face“I don’t even know what to say. I thought the book was painful enough before reaching the really painful stuff… it’s safe to say I suffered a lot. 😭 It’s unreal how Rebecca wrote Fourth Wing and also wrote this; talent is amazing.”

Anxious Face with sweat“Loved the book, but I did not like the ending. The story was moving and heartbreaking but I felt the ending was undeserved. It should have happened way earlier in the book than the last like 8% or it should have gotten it’s happy happy ending.”

“As of now my all time favorite book i have ever read 🥰”
“wow. rebecca yarros does it again. she’s quickly becoming my favorite author. what an emotional rollercoaster rod a book. the first 50 pages so much heart break and agony happens that it’s shocking but keeps you turning the page. fell in love with beckett so quickly. his story line of trouble kid in foster car turned to military for purpose and then this pen pal letters saving him and giving him a heart.. pulls at your heart strings. the ending was something i did not expect and incredibly sad, yet ties the book together in a sad-but-happy ending way. also his dog is a black lab which reminds me so much of echo with little kids and the bonds she forms with the family. melted my heart. must read, definitely recommend”
