“My original review I posted on September 7, 2014
I have to say Michael Reaves has really outdone himself yet again with "The Last Jedi". I was a very big fan of his Coruscant Night Series and Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter and I had no doubts that this novel would not be as amazing. I will not go into too much details but this book is full of plot twists, unexpected revelations and very good action. There is also a lot more traveling to other planets in this novel, rather than being stuck on Coruscant most of the time. Jax (the Jedi Protagonist) is still fighting the good fight and Reaves gives amazing insight on his character and his friends and enemies around him. Throughout the novel you will see different sides of Jax as he struggles on what he has to do and how can he stay true to his Jedi Nature.<br /><br />As the title of the book says "The Last Jedi" which we all know is not necessarily true, but in Jax's mind he doesn't know that and he might as well be the last Jedi. I really hope Reaves does a sequel to this novel because I could not put it down when I started it. If you are true star wars fan and a big fan of the Coruscant Night Series then this novel will not disappoint you.”
About Michael Reaves
Michael Reaves received an Emmy Award for his work on the Batman television animated series. He has worked for Spielberg’s DreamWorks, among other studios, and has written fantasy novels and supernatural thrillers. Reaves is the New York Times bestselling author of Star Wars: Darth Maul: Shadow Hunter and the first two Star Wars: Coruscant Nights novels Jedi Twilight and Street of Shadows. He is also the co-writer (with Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff) of the last two Star Wars: Coruscant Nights novels—Patterns of Force and The Last Jedi—and Star Wars: Shadow Games, as well as (with Steve Perry) Star Wars: Death Star and the Star Wars: MedStar novels Battle Surgeons and Jedi Healer.
