In the months before her death, Marilyn polishes the script for her ultimately unfinished film, Something’s Got to Give.
In the weeks before her death, she drinks champagne on Santa Monica Beach with the last photographer to take her picture.

On June 1, 2026, the world celebrates Marilyn Monroe’s one hundredth birthday … without her.

“Okay, let’s talk. The title is called The Last Days of a Marilyn Monroe, so I assumed it would be about her last days. As we know her death has always been controversial so as a fiction book I thought James Patterson would take one of the many theories and make a story. I was wrong. This book reads as a biography, which is fine, if it wasn’t marketed as a “true crime thriller “. Let me be perfectly clear: this is not a thriller. If you are interested in Marilyn Monroe, read the book. Interested in the golden age of Hollywood, read the book. You do not need to read the book if you are thinking it’s a thriller or if you just want to learn more about her last days.”
“This was excellent. There was a lot of information I did not know. I did the audio and it was done really well! Definitely check it out!”
