“the first book was definitely the best. the second was the worst. there were a lot more POVs in this one, I felt. my only question, maybe I missed it, was how the innately evil (the guy who ate people, serial killer, Bosch, bellerose, Adam (maybe not evil because he doesnt turn evil), Pratt, and all those who didn't want Iris' world) ended up happy on Iris' world? There are obviously those who are not happy with others being happy and who need subordinates and I'm curious to know what happened to them. I assume Iris probably had to Hiva them, but then her world wouldn't be happy. Did Adam retain Hiva or did he turn back human and Hiva became Hiva again elsewhere? I wish there had been a small segment on Uma and "Anne" like there was for Rin, Lulu, Berta, Cherice, and Max or are we just to assume that their happiest dreams came true? but then Umas wouldn't come true where she wanted her elite schools to rule because Iris doesn't have anybody above anybody else. or are we to assume that everyone just fit in to their place and didn't have the ambition to move above anybody else because no one "hurt" anybody else? I do like the ambiguity of the ending, but I just can't see how it would work because I can't comprehend a perfect world where people don't flatten others. ultimately, that's the beauty of this book and the ending, it finally worked even if it is only fantasy.”About Sarah Raughley
