“The Krytos Trap is book three of the fabled and heavily acclaimed X-Wing Series by Michael A. Stackpole and Aaron Allston, and it certainly is the best book in the series so far.
I gave book one a three star review, book two was four stars, and finally, book three delivered and earned five stars. I found that all the plot lines were tied up nicely in this book and that books one and two make a lot more sense after completing it. I also think that Stackpole’s development as a writer is visible in this entry of the series. The story is much more concise, the dialogue is more sensible, and the plot has a lot more action and resolution. It’s refreshing to see the series and the author evolve simultaneously.
The Krytos Trap is full of action, redemption, intrigue, and backstabbing. All plot points come together in the end and the next entry in the series will certainly be interesting.
I’m excited to see how Stackpole’s first four books end with The Bacta War, and how the characters will end their journeys. I’m also looking forward to the Aaron Allston books in the series, as I’ve heard that those are even better.”
