“If you liked Frank Herbert's Dune, or are a huge fan of sci-fi, give The Pandora Sequence a chance.
A wild sci-fi read continuing the themes of the first book, Destination: Void, after Ship achieves consciousness. As AI considered divine, or a tyrant, it plays a confusing game with many players to teach its residents how to properly WorShip.
There is a vast array of characters, some likeable, some I had no particular feelings about, and some I absolutely despised. Some aspects of the book left me confused, but in a good way. One plot point in particular made me role my eyes, but it sets up for the next book and serves a purpose, so I'll forgive it (It's a book written in the late 70s, and it shows). Otherwise, an incredibly enjoyable, almost forgotten in the modern world.”
