Alone and adrift in the Pacific, Edward Prendick is rescued by a ship carrying an odd cargo of wild animals to an uncharted island. “Strange and disturbing in a good way. I loved that this was written in the 1800s and bothered so many people back then at how outlandish it was. I don’t think it was the most engaging read, but it was certainly worth it.”
