Publisher Description

Loyalties are tested in this slow burn, enemies-to-lovers romantasy following an assassin and a healer forced to work together to cure a fatal disease, all while resisting the urge to kill each other—or, worse, fall in love.

When Osric Mordaunt, member of the Fyren Order of assassins, falls ill, he realizes he needs the expertise of a very specific healer. As fate would have it, that healer belongs to an enemy faction, the Haelan Order.

Aurienne Fairhrim and her fellow Haelan are inundated by sick children suffering from an outbreak of a long-forgotten Pox. Unable to get the funding needed to launch an immunization program, the Haelan Order is desperate for money – so desperate that when Osric breaks into their headquarters to bribe Aurienne to heal him, she is forced to accept.

As Osric and Aurienne work together to solve not only his illness but the mysterious reoccurrence of the Pox, they find themselves ardently denying their attraction which only fuels the tension between them.

The Irresistible Urge to Fall for Your Enemy Reviews

3.5
“This book was fun although the plot meandered a bit and wasn't super strong until the very end when they found out more about the pox virus. Most of the book was them just going different places and not being able to fix osric's seith with some romantic tension. This book was a lot of set-up, but I'm interested enough to read the next one.”
Rolling on the Floor Laughing Face“this was ✨marvelous✨ 4.5 🌟 I loved every second of this. I adore old British settings (this is set in an alternate UK with british english throughout) and this gave everything it needed to. the banter??? being in their individual pov’s had me giggling and smiling at every page. they truly hate each other and truly CANNOT be together in any way, shape, or form, which makes this DELECTABLE. I love the underlying plot of his “incurable” degeneration and the world being a plagued by a long dead disease - SO GOOD!! the stakes continued to get so much higher as the story progressed and I was eating up every second of it. This truly swept me off my feet and was one of the BEST slow burns i’ve ever read. they don’t even look at each other without pure disdain until like 300 pages in (it’s a 360 or so page book yall). this was perfect and im so ready to read book two. I need it in my hands TODAY”
Beaming Face with Smiling Eyes“Oh. My. Gods!! This book had me smiling like an idiot the whole time. Occasional giddiness and kicking of my feet also occurred. I’m obsessed. Need more immediately.”
