“Es la segunda vez que esta autora en logra sacar de un reading slump. Mega recomendado si les gustó la serie Nobody Wants This.
Hay tanto que quiero hablar de este libro. Tantas cosas buenas en una pluma tan directa y al punto. Habla de la conexión con tus creencias, tu comunidad, tus personas favoritas y sobre todo contigo misma. La importancia de una intimidad sana, tanto en pareja o sola. Y las lecciones de amor propio y crecimiento creo que fueron de mis cosas favoritas. Yo me sentía entre el público escuchando a Naomi hablar, me sintiera identificado o no.
Incluso se hablan de rupturas y si están pasando por ese proceso les recomiendo leerlo, cap 35 hay un speech que me dejó con el corazón en la mano, y si les gusta los rituales, aún más.
Una pluma en tercer persona que nos cuenta ambos POV y que me fascinó que siempre estuviera pasando algo. No se sobrepasa en diálogo interno repetitivo.
Además, es un libro chistoso sin forzar chistes. Las situaciones que pasan a veces soy muy divertidas! Los capítulos de softball🛐
La historia de Naomi como tal es predecible en el buen sentido de la palabra. Y a veces pasa que los MMC se sienten muy forzados que nos gusten, pero Ethan es algo que no solo no suelo leer (no es clásico MMC cliché), sino tan genuino con su alma tan buena que no siempre sabe cómo actuar para que nadie salga dañado. Es medio awkward también todo el buen sentido de la palabra.
No le doy 5 estrellas porque me hubiera gustado más escenas que le dieran peso y mayor sentido a los sucesos de los últimos capítulos.
Es un libro simplista y straightforward, tampoco es lo más serio que vayan a leer, pero cumple MUY bien con lo que promete.”Lola Lopes
