“This is dark, gripping, chilling, fast-paced, and emotionally charged.
The straight into the action with a brutally murdered family, the only survivor, a teenage boy.
Detective Joona Linna turns to Erik Maria Bark, a hypnotist who has sworn never to practice again to help find out what the seriously injured boy knows.
What follows is a twisty tense investigation, and a child abduction that had me gripped, with short chapters that make it impossible not to keep turning the pages.
The atmosphere is cold and claustrophobic, emotional and graphic at times. There’s mystery, murder, family drama and the consequences of secrets.
Although I thought it was a little long winded in the middle, this didn’t spoil my enjoyment and I’ll definitely read more from this author (it’s a husband and wife team).”
