“I SWEAR IF ELLA AND SAM DONT GET BACK TOGETHER I AM GOING TO CRY.”“It was okay, I guess. I hate how much they just talked throughout half of the book and the action only started nearing the end or so. I don't like the unnecessary deaths added, like Harry and Charlie Higson adding new characters only for them to not really matter. I wanted more of the main cast to be killed off, like Arran Harper, Bam, Jack, and so on.
Maliks backstory was heartbreaking, full stop. However, the fact it was just him talking the entire time and just a lore dump really made me not interested since I knew it wasn't going to mean anything in the next book. Maybe I'm just weird for thinking that? I don't know or I needed to read more?
Did not finish, probably going to stop from here on out despite there being only one book left because I feel like reading these now just feels like eating chalk. Way too much lore dumping and not enough intensity for me.”
