The Hollow Plane (The Aethereals Duology)
ByPublisher Description
Love is a weakness the powerful cannot afford.
When Mina Wildfang wakes up in a dark hole beneath the sea, her memories have been erased. The one thing she remembers is who imprisoned her: her family. The only thing she wants is revenge. But when she escapes, someone has burned her home to the ground—with her family inside. Mina decides if she cannot have vengeance, she will have the truth.
All Ashbourne Claymore wants is to live an honest life as a private investigator. He can’t remember his past, and he doesn’t want to. When a mysterious new client asks him to murder a woman named Mina Wildfang, he staunchly refuses. But he cannot help but be curious about the woman he was asked to assassinate.
When the two are drawn together by a series of otherworldly fires plaguing the city, the similarities between them are too much to ignore. Desire lights a flame that rivals the inferno coming for them. Can they survive the heat, or will they succumb to the ghosts of their past and let the city burn?
Enter a dark and glittering world of fey and witches in the first book in The Aethereals Duology. The Hollow Plane is a sizzling mix of mystery and fantasy romance, perfect for fans of House of Bane and Blood, and The Alchemists of Loom.

“This was just a 'meh' for me. I LOVED the idea for the book, but with that said... describing every article of clothing in every scene AND the reasons for selecting each article of clothing in every scene nearly made this a DNF for me.
I pushed through because the world did feel magical and for the simple fact that I am a fool for plots involving amnesia.
The story behind the two MCs is enjoyable when it finally is revealed, but this book was incredibly slow. It honestly felt like nothing happened until the end, although I did enjoy the end.
I'm not sure I'll read the second any time soon, but I did already purchase it before reading this one, so maybe someday 🤷♀️”

“What would you do if you woke up in a dark hole, couldn’t remember anything? Seek revenge on the family who put you there?
But what if someone already did? Then what?
Well, naturally, you team up with a private investigator, Ashbourne Claymore, to find the truth. Except the PI also has some memory loss, but that certainly not related…right?
Make sure you don’t forget to add this fantasy to your TBR. Alison does an amazing job of piecing together the steam-punk themed world, while giving the reader just enough details to piece together their lost story.
I really enjoyed this book & I hope you do too!”
