Publisher Description

When a sad turn of fate takes Josephine Blair to the small town of Bridgeport, West Virginia, she meets and falls for the devious and cunning Caius Duke. Her life blooms in both wonderful and terrifying ways.
Together, Josephine and Caius discover they have something deeper and more intense than true love. While theirs is a love spanning centuries, what they don't realize is the stronger their relationship becomes, the more some unknown evil is trying to tear them apart.
A captivating tale of eternal love, vengeful curses, and a power that can make or break them all, The Hanging Night will pull you in, making you wonder how we are all tied together, and if the ties that bind are truly meant to last.

“Wow! This book felt like an epic love story to me. Twin flames - two halves of one soul ripped apart, destined to always find each other. Total opposites of each other. Cursed to never find happiness. You'll journey through time with flashback memories of previous lives of the main characters. Join them on their path of fate and destiny as they seek to understand the curse. Can they break it? Our lives are all intertwined in some way.”
“I found The Hanging Night to be an engaging read, the elements that didn't quite align with my genre preferences might explain why I didn't wholly adore it. I certainly don't have any other criticisms beyond the ones I've already stated. Nevertheless, for those drawn to stories of profound love and heartbreaking conclusions, this novel offers a satistying, albeit emotionally challenging, experience.”
“2,5⭐️ First of all, thank you NetGalley and Evernight Teen for the ARC. “The Hanging Night” by Sasha Hibbs & Christina Hooker is the first book of The Threads of Fate series. Unfortunately, I didn't love this book as much as I hoped to. Even though I liked the concept, multiple POVs, and the quotes in every chapter, I wasn't particularly fond of the insta-love. In addition, I found the book a bit rushed and some parts confusing. TW: death of parent, addiction”
““The hotter the fire, the faster it burns, and you can’t keep throwing gasoline. It isn’t practical.” “The Hanging Night,” by Shasha Hibbs and Christina Hooker Jospehine goes back to her mother’s hometown after her death where she meets Caius. Caius is a boy with a tragic backstory and a load of bad habits. Both fall into an all-consuming relationship that was destined to be. Malevolent occurrence starts happening and they both must stop the curse in time. I liked this book. It is a YA almost insta-love type of relationship between two star-crossed lovers/ twin flames. It’s a pretty short book and the story was predictable but was really good. I liked being able to see both of their traumas and experiences. I do wish the father played a bigger role in the book. 4 out of 5 stars, definitely worth reading. -Addiction -Death -Twin Flame/ Star-crossed Lovers -Ghosts -Red Threads Of Fate -Multi POV -Magic -Witch -Curse”
