About 4 years ago I saw this book on the librarian recommendations table along with Clarice Lispector(who at the time I had never heard of) and A General Theory of Oblivion. I’m glad I took a picture of the books to not forget my interest, but enough about me. Villoro has a punchy, satirical style and some really delicious sentences in each story. I got a kick out of this short collection. Tidy.”
About Juan Villoro
Juan Villoro is one of Mexico’s most prolific, prize-winning fiction writers. His books have won the Herralde Award, Antonin Artaud Award and The Reef was shortlisted for the Rezzori Prize. He lives in Mexico City and is a visiting lecturer at Yale and Princeton Universities.
