“I'm not trying to be hateful, but this book just did not make ends meet for me. There are so many instances in which the characters and their actions just do not connect in any way. And there are so many times that I said "oh this problem would be solved by this very simple thing that this person would definitely think of." I understand that it's a retelling of a fairy tale, but it ends up being all of the chaos of a fairy tale packaged in this historical fiction wrapper that just doesn't "jive." I do not mind reading books that are fanciful, but some of these plot points just do not make sense.”

“The summary of this book has all the makings something fast and exciting. But alas it is so boring and dull. There are too many sisters to keep track of and there is no action. Maybe the escape scene toward the end counts but it’s over before you know it.”
