Publisher Description

The Girl in the High Tower is an original short story set in Gennifer Albin's Crewel World.

In Arras, time and space can be manipulated—and so can people. Beautiful Spinsters work day and night in four coventries to ensure a perfect world, but above them all, at the top of the high tower, works the Creweler...until the Creweler makes a decision to help a young girl escape. Now bound by the strands of the universe, trapped between her memories and mistakes, subject to brutal experiments, Loricel has one more impossible decision to make.

At the Publisher's request, this title is being sold without Digital Rights Management Software (DRM) applied.

The Girl in the High Tower Reviews

“I probably would have enjoyed this story more if I had read the https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/11556960.Crewel__Crewel_World___1_ series. This short has interesting ideas, but there's not much information to go on if you don't know anything about the series. Unlike https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13643163.The_Witch_of_Duva__The_Grisha___0_5_ or https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/20345368.Bridge_of_Snow__Winner_s_Trilogy___0_5_ , which are both also sort of prequel shorts, The Girl in the High Tower demands at least a passing knowledge of who characters are, and how the world works. The weaving and selection process is sort of explained, but it takes most of the short to set that much up, leaving the plot somewhat lacking. So, as a standalone - not very accessible. As an addition to the Crewel World series? I'll let you know, if I ever read it.”
