“I have been wanted to read this book for a while and was glad to finally get around to it! I was expecting a magical, fantastical tone, but it ended up being darker, grittier, and gorier thank I expected, with a dash of science fiction. I wouldn’t say that the protagonist was likable, but she was engaging and I was invested in her journey (both plot-wise and arc-wise).”
