“As many other reviewers have said this reads like a transcript of four guys in a pub bickering about religion. The book format feels like a cash grab, you can watch this discussion on YouTube for free, and I have never heard anyone label it “the conversation that sparked the atheist revolution” until this book. I thought the book would be an analysis of the conversation or perhaps a discussion on the four men, but it’s just a copy paste transcript with some forewords. The arguments they make here are full of fallacies that I wouldn’t have expected from these four, even Stephen Fry’s foreword had me rolling my eyes at his mischaracterisations of Christian belief. There were some moments when someone would say something quite insightful, but overall I thought not much was argued well. Maybe that wasn’t the idea. This reminded me that it’s helpful for me to be mindful when it comes to apologetics sources I take for granted in which I’m not as switched onto the potential fallacies and mischaracterisations.”
