“Per his daughter’s explanatory remarks, I also do not believe Camus would have published this, not least because it is not complete. However, even its sparseness, Camus leaves us with a somewhat autobiographical account set in familiar climes, and for that we are grateful to have even this collection of notes and illegibilities in support of this great writer. I wish that Camus had lived to finish this work. I believe it would have been monumental, but even ‘as-is’ it is a great read.”Noah

About Albert Camus
Born in Algeria in 1913, Albert Camus published The Stranger-- now one of the most widely read novels of this century-- in 1942. Celebrated in intellectual circles, Camus was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1957. On January 4, 1960, he was killed in a car accident.
