Publisher Description

Begin your journey into Middle-earth...

The inspiration for the upcoming original series on Prime Video, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first part of J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic adventure The Lord of the Rings.

One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.

Sauron, the Dark Lord, has gathered to him all the Rings of Power—the means by which he intends to rule Middle-earth. All he lacks in his plans for dominion is the One Ring—the ring that rules them all—which has fallen into the hands of the hobbit, Bilbo Baggins.

In a sleepy village in the Shire, young Frodo Baggins finds himself faced with an immense task, as his elderly cousin Bilbo entrusts the Ring to his care. Frodo must leave his home and make a perilous journey across Middle-earth to the Cracks of Doom, there to destroy the Ring and foil the Dark Lord in his evil purpose.

The Fellowship Of The Ring Reviews

4.0
“I'm giving this a full five stars because it's such a massive step up from the 'summary' style of The Hobbit. Everything here is so much more vivid and detailed, especially the scenery-the realm of the Elf King and Queen was just breathtaking and had this ethereal, peaceful beauty that stayed with me. But what I really loved was the focus on the characters' strengths and flaws, and that constant sense of betrayal that keeps you on edge. It's also just so striking (and honestly, a bit 'awful' for them!) to see how much they have to struggle against their own nature. Just like Bilbo, they're acting in ways a Hobbit shouldn't have to leaving their comfortable homes, missing their regular meals, and pushing through this dangerous world when every instinct they have is telling them to stay put. Seeing that internal conflict, combined with the deep history and the specific, gritty details of the journey, made the whole experience feel so much more personal and epic.”
