“Makes it so much more enjoyable that real places are used in the book so you can imagine the settings more.”

“A terrifying follow up that doesn't quite live up to The Dead's hype, but spooks, saddens and shakes things up in its own way. Dognut's narrative takes a while to get used to - he's less introspective and thinking than Ed - but when we get going, we really get going! The Collector is potentially the most terrifying grown-up yet, and Olivia's death is absolutely gut-wrenching, especially reading as an adult.
Brooke's character development is stellar, shifting from spoilt, bitchy pretty girl to a brave, humble leader. The book develops London even further, introducing us to different locations and groups of kids and establishing a growing communications network that's sure to come into fruition in the following books.”
