Publisher Description

The city boy with a promising future meets the beach town girl with a troubled past in this unlikely romance.

Alonzo Reyes has everything going for him: a close-knit family, a scholarship to law school, and his dream girlfriend. He's golden…or so it seems. In reality, he's floundering on the brink of that dreaded f-word. Failure.

After a revelation pushes him over the edge, he escapes to the waves of La Union and crashes right into the town's resident grumpy surfer.

Cam Cruz has no blood ties, no college degree, and no boyfriend. But she loves her life near the sea with friends who feel like family. All she needs is a stable job—not an annoyingly attractive boy from Manila messing up her flow.

Alonzo can't help being intrigued by the one girl he can't seem to charm, and no matter how many times Cam says goodbye, fate has other plans. When their paths cross again, they learn that there's more to each other than meets the eye. Judgments are questioned, emotions are compromised, and soon, their beliefs about love are put to the test. Can they overcome their differences for the chance at an epic ride, or will they play it safe and stick to solid ground

The Fallacy of True Love is a strangers-to-lovers contemporary romance with angst and spice. It is the last book in the Reyes Siblings series but can be read as a standalone.

“For me, the first part is knda boring but the story builds up after their first close encounter. I love Lonzo and his principles and he really pursu Maya. I love how confident and strong independent woman Cam is. Will definitely in re- reading list. 💜”
“Alonzo Reyes seems like the golden boy with a promising future. A close-knit family, scholarship to law school, and what looks like a perfect life. But after a personal crisis pushes him to the edge, he escapes to the waves of La Union and unexpectedly crashes into the life of Cam Cruz, a beach town girl who loves her simple, independent life by the sea. Despite their differences and the many times Cam tries to walk away, fate keeps bringing them back together, challenging their beliefs about love and what they’re willing to risk for each other. This ended up being my favorite of the three Reyes Siblings books! Alonzo is honestly the sweetest guy! He’s genuine, thoughtful, and emotionally open in a way that feels rare and refreshing. The story uses classic tropes like enemies-to-lovers and the whole hookup-no-strings setup, but it still works because the emotions underneath feel real and earned. I also loved how inclusive this story is, especially with Maya being a chubby queen who knows her worth and doesn’t see herself as someone who needs to be “fixed.” I did get frustrated with Alonzo’s dad, though. His constant pressure and expectations were honestly annoying, but at the same time, it felt very real. Parents want the best for their kids, but sometimes that care turns into being too pushy and nagging, without realizing the weight it puts on them. That conflict added depth to Alonzo’s character and made his struggle feel more grounded. And Alonzo’s way of loving (keeping little souvenirs like receipts from their dates and writing notes) was just so heart melting. Seriously, where can I find my own Alonzo?”
