“Wow…the fact that I had put this book off for as long as I did is insane, because this already has become one of my favorite series. It is so well written and I love the characters and plot line. If you’re a fan of Pirates of the Caribbean and love fantasy, Magic, and morally grey characters, you will love this book.
I love Erik. I love his morally grey side and the fact that Livia doesn’t try to change him, but embraces his dark side. She sees his heart and how he cares for others but also acknowledges and accepts that he will go to whatever lengths he has to to protect what’s his. And I like even more that she has a dark side to herself, that she’s slowly learning to embrace as well.
I cannot wait to read the rest of this series. As a huge fan of Pirates of the Caribbean (some of it hits a little too hard on the nose) this book is the perfect combination of fae fantasy and Jack Sparrow.”“Got out of my reading slump!!
