“As an average person curious about existentialism, I found some grounded and applicable "truths"in this book.
The regard of freedom and the responsibility that follows from it offered a compelling way to think about the ambiguous nature of life.
I could draw real life examples in my personal life to the subman, serious man and passionate man characters.
I will say though, I looked up critiques of this book and agreed with the idea that perhaps there's a certain degree of naivety in the exploration of man. There can be so much constraints on our individual agency because of life, environment and just mere chance. Still, I really enjoyed the ethics of ambiguity.”
